Rest In Peace Terri

Terri Schiavo passed away at 9:05am this morning.
I hope there is "a better place" for her to go because after all she has had to suffer through she deserves it.

Syd Barrett - Genius or just crazy?

I chose one of Ap0k’s favorite songs today.
While he likes the type of music I usually post, this song is a completely and utterly different.
“Matilda Mother” was released by Pink Floyd on the album Piper At The Gates Of Dawn in August of 1967.
If you listen to the music you can see that Pink Floyd was decades ahead of themselves. They manage to make electronic sounds with no electronics!
This song was recorded when Syd Barrett was still with the group. Syd Barrett is considered by many (including Ap0k) to be a true musical genius. Unfortunately Syd suffered from severe mental problems (caused by the death of his father and later by drug use) that forced the group to remove him after just two albums. Today Syd lives a solitary life in Cambridgeshire, England where it is rumored that he has written a book titled “The History Of Art” but no one seems to know when or even if he is going to publish it.

Pink Floyd:
Syd Barrett: Lead guitar and vocals (confounding member in 1965, contributed to 2 albums, replaced by David Gilmour in 1968 due to increasing mental instability.)
Roger Waters: Bass guitar and vocals (tried to dissolve band in 1985 but band continued without him.)
Rick Wright: Organ/piano (forced to leave band by Roger Waters in 1982 because Roger felt that Rick did not contribute enough to the band.)
Nick Mason: Drums (The only member of the original Pink Floyd grouping to stay throughout all of the bands personnel changes.)

There was a king who ruled the land.
His majesty was in command.
With silver eyes the scarlet eagle
Showers silver on the people.
Oh Mother, tell me more.

Why'd'ya have to leave me there
Hanging in my infant air waiting?
You only have to read the lines
They're scribbly black and everything shines.

Across the stream with wooden shoes
With bells to tell the king the news
A thousand misty riders climb up
Higher once upon a time.
Wandering and dreaming
The words have different meaning.
Yes they did.

For all the time spent in that room
The doll's house, darkness, old perfume
And fairy stories held me high on
Clouds of sunlight floating by.
Oh Mother, tell me more
Tell me more.

I installed haloscan for easier commenting just now and for some reason I lost all of my previous comments even though it said it would keep them...ok ok.....it didn't actually SAY it would keep them.....I ASSUMED it would.

To make up for my sadness you must all leave me a comment!

A Short History Of Pornography *NSFW*

Pornography has been around in one form or another for pretty much the whole entirety of man. Drawn and painted pictures, written words, photographs, and finally film.

In the 1650’s three pornographic novels were published; La Puttana Errante (The Wayward Prostitute), L'Ecole des Filles (Girls School), and Satya. These books were translated into many different languages and are considered the models for modern day porn.

Here is a short excerpt from the novel “The Lustful Turk” first published in 1828:
"I quickly felt his finger again introducing the head of that terrible engine I had before felt, and which now felt like a pillar of ivory entering me… My petitions, supplications and tears were of no use. I was on the altar, and, butcherlike, he was determined to complete the sacrifice; indeed, my cries seemed only to excite him to the finishing of my ruin, and sucking my lips and breasts with fury, he unrelentingly rooted up all obstacles my virginity offered, tearing and cutting me to pieces, until the whole of his terrible shaft was buried within me. I could bear the dreadful torment no longer, but uttering a piercing shriek sunk insensible in the arms of my cruel ravisher."
The Lustful Turk is the story of Emily Barlow and her servant Eliza Gibbs. They are kidnapped by an Algerian pirate and are brutally raped repeatedly, but as all good porn goes, they end up falling in love with their captor.
As you can see what was considered pornography at the time would now be considered a trashy romance novel.

With the advent of photography pornography flourished. Here is a selection of photographs that show how little has actually changed:

In 1896 French actress Louise Willy stripped completely naked in the film Les Époux vont au lit. According to IMDB this is the first movie with sexual content ever made.
Stag films which were popular from before World War II through the early 1960’s, were usually shorter movies that were shown in brothels, back alley theaters, stag parties, etc. They were usually silent and were filmed mainly in black and white. Very few contained cumshots. How boring! But at the time I am sure they were thought of as quite hot.

In 1972 two films were released that are still considered to be two of the best adult movies ever made:

“Deep Throat”, starring Linda Lovelace is the story of a woman who can only get off by giving deep throat blow jobs because her clitoris is located in her throat. How ridiculous!
Linda Lovelace is considered to be the first woman to become world famous simply for being in a pornographic movie. What I find amazing is that even though she is so well known her entire career consisted of only 5 hours of film. Linda performed in several stag films such as “The Foot”, “The Fist”, a watersports video titled “Piss Orgy” and most astonishingly “Dog Fucker” which yes, is bestiality. In 1980 Linda released the book “Ordeal” in which she stated that she was beaten and coerced into a life of pornography and prostitution. Sadly Linda was killed in a car accident in 2002.

“Behind The Green Door”, starring Marilyn Chambers, tells the tale of a short order cook who convinces two customers to tell him the story of the green door that they have hinted about in the past. As the story goes, a woman is kidnapped and is brought to a mysterious upscale club where she is ravished on stage for the enjoyment of the patrons.
Even though this film was made on a very small budget it is considered to be very well made.
Marilyn Chambers really was once the cover model for boxes of Ivory Snow detergent. She was dropped by the company when she started in porn. As far as I know “Behind the Green Door” was the first porn movie she starred in. Prior to that, she appeared in “The Owl and the Pussycat” with Barbara Streisand and George Segal. The most recent film I can find is “Marilyn Chambers Bedtime Stories” which was released in 2003.

Today pornography, in all of its forms, makes A LOT of money! With the advent of the internet porn has become more accessible to the general public. Depending on which source you believe, the adult film industry earns either as much or almost as much as mainstream movies do. That’s a whole lot of cash!

I Am SO Not A Kid Person!

I went to the museum (MOSI) with my mom, my daughter, my little sister, and my nephew today. It was more like going to the zoo!
We mainly went to see the IMAX movie ”Mystery Of The Nile”. I am such a sucker for a good IMAX movie. The movie was great and everything went just fine there. The problems came when we went out into the museum itself to look at the exhibits.
CURSES! It’s spring break! I think that every day care center in the county had all of their 5-8 year olds there today. Can I just say that I can’t stand other people’s children?
It’s really hard to look at things when little kids are trying to knock you over for no apparent reason. Screaming and yelling, fighting with each other. In the end we gave up and went to Dairy Queen.
Why don’t people teach their children manners anymore? If my daughter had ever acted like that in public I would have died. My nephew is 12 now, but he never acted like that either. In fact he’s worse now then when he was younger.

Something else I don’t understand. How can some people have so many kids? We had a hard enough time affording ONE. How do you take FIVE kids to the museum? Heck how do you even take five kids to dinner? How do you afford all of their clothes and toys? It’s not like we were ever broke or anything, but it seemed like we spent all of our money on stuff for our daughter. I can’t even begin to imagine having to spread the money out between multiple people.
And time! It seemed like I was always driving her to some practice or another. How do you do it with several kids?

Porn Is Good

Why do so many people feel the need to fight the adult entertainment industry with such fervor?
Not only the movies, but strip clubs, video stores, and web sites.

So called feminists say that pornography is derogatory and detrimental towards women. Religious groups say that pornography is evil. I have even heard people say that pornography leads to higher instances of rape. Of course none of these people have been able to convince me of any of this.

While I do believe that adult theaters, strip clubs, and sex shops should not be near schools, churches, or residential areas, I also believe the same of bars and night clubs. I see no reason why they should not be allowed in more industry based areas.

Where I live adult businesses ARE allowed in certain areas, but they are under attack constantly. I say as long as there are no nude pictures on the outside of the buildings then people shouldn’t worry about it. Why are they so worried about what is going on inside if they are outside? Is anyone forcing you to go in? No.

Who are these people that seem to think they know what is best for everyone? When did they become the parents of us all? Even if you don’t go to these places, do you really want people telling you that you can’t? Whether or not you watch pornographic movies, don’t you want the chance to choose for yourself?

How can you feel threatened by something that is so natural? How can seeing a nude person upset you? How can the thought of people having sex offend you?

I just don’t get it.

The Past Is Best Left Alone

Bryna and Anonymous have asked why I quit my job.
Honestly, it was for the same reason that I quit there before.

For those of you that don’t know, I worked at the same company for 6 years before I quit. After 18 months I foolishly thought they had changed their ways and went back. That was a big mistake on my part.
It was the same old story all over again. It is hard to do your job, and do your job well, when it seems that no one else cares. Being a construction inspector is very stressful at times. When you see problems on a job and they are poo-poo’ed by someone who has never been on that job themselves it is very disheartening.
There are also many other reasons, mostly personnel related that led me to quit again. I went into them on my old blog and really don’t want to rehash that all over again. Let’s just say that the people I worked with are not all they claim to be.

I find it amusing that they still haven’t figured out who was helping me with the info for the old blog. I know that some people from there are reading this now. All I will say is if and when you do find out it will come as a real shocker! HA!
I still talk to this person once in awhile and the things they tell me are too funny. I should write a book.

But on a brighter note, the money I made when I went back was put to good use. I bought all kinds of crap with it!

There's Gold In Them There Spices!

I had to go to WalMart this morning.
Normally I have no troubles because I go during the week in the morning when there really aren’t that many people there.
I forgot that it’s Spring Break!
There must have been 10,000 people in there with me. It was insane. Kids screaming, people pushing, carts left in the middle of the aisles. I thought I was going to have to break out a bottle of rubbing alcohol before I could get out of there.

Ap0k wants me to make ribs for dinner tonight so I thought I would go all chefy and do something cool. The recipe I picked (baby back ribs with a spicy apple glaze) sounded really good. When I got to the store I found that spice prices have risen dramatically.
Two, yes TWO, vanilla beans were $8! Cardamom pods were $19.99 for a tiny bottle!
So the glaze will get vanilla extract and no cardamom.
I am also making green beans with ham hocks and corn fritters. Since I quit my job I actually have time to cook again. I love it!

I almost bought a DVD recorder today. But after I couldn’t think of the last time I wanted to record anything off the TV I changed my mind. We haven’t even had a vcr for almost two years. See, I can be a responsible shopper when I want to be.

Wouldn't You Like To Be A Pepper Too?

Michael Jackson showed up late for court AGAIN today. This is the second time in two weeks. I think this makes either the fourth or fifth time he’s done this. You do realize that if he were just any Joe off the street they would have revoked his bond by now. Of course you do, because you aren’t stupid like the judge apparently is.

I need to bring up Terri Schaivo again. Congress passed a bill early this morning that made it necessary to drag the whole case back to court again. Of course GW, being so darned religious, signed the bill immediately. This bill sent the case to court in Tampa where a judge is looking into whether or not Terri’s feeding tube will be replaced.
My question is this: Do any of the people, on either side, realize that having her feeding tube removed and replaced so many times in the past 7 years constitutes a form of abuse in itself?

I went to the flea market with my parents yesterday. For people like me who are huge people watchers flea markets are a treat. Take the big fat woman who was decked out in full 70’s disco regalia for example. She wasn’t messy or trashy looking. The clothes weren’t worn looking; in fact they looked brand new. But trust me, these clothes were not new. She was actually a joy to look at, one of those people that just make you smile.
Then there are the guys who are all pimped out looking like their trolling. They make me laugh my ass off.
It amazes me at some of the crap people buy. Outdated medicine and food? Are you crazy? There are expiration dates on this stuff for a reason people! Dirty worn out shoes? Can you say ewwwwwwwww? That is such a disgusting thought. And don’t say that you can’t afford any other shoes. They are selling these shoes for $5-10 a pair. You can buy shoes at the drug store for $2.99. Rusty pots and pans? What could you even use them for? You couldn’t cook in them. Broken figurines? OK, maybe if they are slightly chipped in the back or something, but I see people buying things like figures with missing arms. What are they going to do with them?
What did I buy you are wondering. I bought 100 incense sticks (dragon’s blood and patchouli) and two old Trixie Belden books. My dad bought all kinds of crap and my mom bought fruit. All in all it was a good trip.

Gucci Crew - Worth A Listen If Only For A Giggle

I felt the need to go a bit cheesy with today’s new song.
“Sally That Girl” was released in 1989 by Gucci Crew on the album “Everybody Wants Some.”

I like to call these guys The Casio Kings. The music is by no means high quality, but it is just so darn catchy!

Gucci Crew released their self titled first album in 1983. After they released their second album they changed their name to Gucci Crew ll. Finally they released their 5th and final album (as Gucci Crew again) in 1997.
Gucci Crew was part of the whole late 80’s early 90’s Miami Bass Booty Shake scene.
Sadly they were always overshadowed by groups such as 2 Live Crew.

Instead of writing some gibberish I am going to show you a review I found that pretty much sums it all up…...

“This duo sounds like they seriously think their music is worth paying money to listen to,and it is, only not for the reasons they think it is. ... With lyrics that don't have any relevance towards anything except the title of the song (if that), and with lyrics that don't even rhyme half of the time, this album is outright embarrassing! So much so that it is really really really FUNNY! I couldn't stop laughing throughout the entire duration of this album. It's worth 1 star just for the fact that it will make me laugh for the rest of my life.” - Lauren Ashleigh

Give it a shot; at least it’s worth a giggle or two.

Terri Schaivo

I am not going to go in depth on this subject, but I have to say that it is time to let Terri Schaivo die.
The reason I am not going to go all in depth is because I don’t have all of the facts. I can say that this poor girl has been in what is considered a vegetative state for the last 15 years.
I understand that her parents don’t want to let her go, but maybe it’s time that they have HER best interest in mind instead of their own. That may sound callous, but after this long, do they really think she will ever be even semi-normal?
While I do believe that the case should have gone to court in the beginning, I do not think it should have been tried so many times in so many different counties.
I especially do not think that Congress should be involved in any way. The whole deal with them holding an “emergency” session on late Sunday afternoon (tomorrow) to try to pass legislation that will make it mandatory to replace her feeding tube smacks of publicity seeking to me. Terri’s tube was removed on Friday at 1:45pm. If they felt it was so much of an emergency why wasn’t the session held last night, or today at the latest?
While I support the removing of Terri’s feeding tube, I do not support the way they are going to allow her to die. She should be allowed to die humanely instead of being starved to death.
For those who are saying that her husband is “a bad uncaring man” because he has a girlfriend now, please remember it’s been 15 years. He understands that she will never be the real Terri again. She is only a shell of her former self. What would you do after 15 years?
I also don’t like all of the religious people that are here protesting. Take this woman for example: She said, and I quote, “I am here because the DJ on my Christian radio station told me to come.”
Several politicians wanted to call Terri to testify in her own behalf. OK, this I understand because it means that as a federal witness her feeding tube would have to be replaced in order to keep her alive to testify IF she was ever able to. Yet there are many protesters here who are saying “Take Terri to court and let her speak.” These people honestly do not understand that she has not spoken in 15 years. She has done NOTHING in 15 years besides have a few involuntary reactions that are common to people in the state she is in.
Again, I do not claim to have all of the facts, but I do know that many (not all) of these protesters have almost no facts at all.
People who protest because a radio DJ told them to scare me.

Reading this back I can see that I probably should have written it earlier in the day when I was not tired. This is a case of knowing what I want to say, but not knowing quite how to put it.

Rainy Days And Thursdays *NSFW*

I am in a bit of a funk today. It’s been raining for over 24 hours straight. Looking at the radar it appears it’s going to keep raining for a few more hours. While we needed the rain desperately, it does tend to make me feel a little down in the dumps.

I am quite proud of myself. I managed to fix my cable box all by myself today.

To pass the time I decided to gather up a few links for you:

*I am sure all of you know about IMDB. It lists a zillion movies with all of the relevant details. Here is the same type of site, only it is geared towards porn movies. IAFD contains all the information on 49,453 movies, 37,442 performers and has 44,950 reviews. All in all, it’s a pretty informative site.

*Do you like amateur nude photography? If you do then you will really enjoy this site.
The Free Voyeur Web is a daily updated site. It has submissions from people all over the world. Some of the girls are quite nice, some are normal, some are butt ugly. You should be able to find some that suit your fancy.

Speaking of nude photography, here are some of my favorite photos.
I downloaded these from Michelle7. It’s a paysite unfortunately, but if you find a way in you will find many GREAT photographs. Actually I have a zip file that contains 115MB of the photos from this site. If anyone wants it, please email me and I will get it to you.

It's Alive!!!!

My cable is out again so I won’t be able to post this until it comes back up.
Around 2:00 I lost my digital feed so I couldn’t get any channels over 99. About 40 minutes later the TV made the sound of 100 fingernails scrapping down a chalkboard and I then lost all of my cable and my internet. Actually I didn’t lose the TV 100%. The information that comes up on the bottom of the screen is still there. At least I can see what I’m missing. Ap0k called the cable company and the message he got was basically, “We know it’s messed up, get off the phone.” Well that’s encouraging!

I am having a bit of a problem on one of my forums. The administrator, who pays for the hosting, only shows up once every 6 months at best. I still have not figured out why he even pays for it. When he does show up it is only to throw a monkey wrench into things. A video producer has contacted him and complained that some of their videos were posted on the forum. They want them pulled or they will contact the police. Well of course the admin of the forum went into a complete tizzy. He showed up at the forum, deleting posts left and right. He deleted posts that had nothing to do with that video producer at all. Then he left a post himself stating that no one can post movies unless they own the copywrite for them. First off none of the videos posted are on the server that the forum is hosted on. The forum itself is not doing anything wrong. If the video producer wants to get the police on anyone, it should be the site that is actually hosting the video itself. While deleting the posts off of the forum from this particular producer IS the correct thing to do, you don’t need to go all out about copywrite issues like the administrator did. While I understand he is ultimately in charge because he pays the bills, it is becoming more and more difficult for me and the only other moderator to keep this forum running smoothly. Since most people don’t even know who the administrator is I am getting flooded with emails from posters questioning the copywrite post he made. What do I say when I don’t even know myself for sure what is going on?
Luckily my other forums are running as smooth as butter right now! Oh, and for those that are wondering, it is NOT The Cutting-Room-Floor that is giving me heartburn. The administrator of that forum (Trader) is a total gem.

My house smells sooooo good right now! Ap0k requested Brunswick stew for dinner, so rather than give him the crappy canned stuff I pulled out the trusty recipes. Yes people, I actually can cook. Quite well too I might add! I’m just too lazy to go all out most of the time. I am a huge fan of boxes and cans. When I want to though, I can whip up some pretty tasty stuff.

I’ve went from using the blogger box to using Word to write these posts. I hope my grammar and spelling is a bit better now. While it’s not infallible, at least it helps.

It’s 5:10 pm and my cable is all back on. It started to pour outside and the cable came back on at the exact same time.

Fetishes - There's One For Everybody! **NSFW**

I thought I would go a bit different today and talk about various fetishes that I have encountered in my years moderating porn forums.
It appears that if something is odd, a bit off, or just plain weird, then there is a sexually based pay site available for it.

The first fetish I want to talk about is SPLOSHING.
Sploshing is not for people who hate to do the laundry!!!
This fetish involves women, mostly clothed, being covered in various types of liquid based products. Paint, pies, pudding, milk, you name it and they will “wear” it. This is a fetish I have never quite understood. There is no real domination involved as a lot of the girls put the stuff on them themselves.

Our second fetish of the day involves the FURRY scene.
Furries are people who dress up either partially or entirely as various animals, most often big cats and foxes. There are big conventions all over the world dealing with Furry activities. Some Furries like cartoon art involving various animals with human-like sexual parts/organs.
All in all a strange fetish that I see as being one step away from bestiality.

Here is a fetish that I tend to find more amusing than sexual.
BALLOONING is just what it sounds like, women, and sometimes men, blow up, roll around on, and then pop balloons.
Where on earth did this come from? I hate it when balloons pop! It scares the crap out of me. The whole idea of rolling on a balloon and making it pop just sends shivers up my spine.

SHOE fetishes come in different forms. Many men and women seem to have a shoe BUYING fetish.
Then there are the people who are sexually aroused by shoes. Now this is a fetish that while I don’t practice, I at least understand. There are a lot of sexy shoes out there!

Some people take the whole shoe/fetish a step farther (a pun!) and get into TRAMPLING. This is another fetish that at least makes some sense to be. Mostly this fetish involves women trampling men, though sometimes you will find a female/female or male/female variance.
This fetish is geared towards both people who like to be trampled and who like to do the trampling. Trust me, I would much prefer to be a trampler! The thought of someone standing on me is not enticing in the least.
Some men like to have their privates stepped on. That has to hurt!

I saved the most, in my opinion, bizarre fetish for last.
PONY GIRLS/BOYS is possibly the oddest thing I have seen in awhile. This fetish is an offshoot of the BSDM culture. Women, and again, sometimes men, dress up as ponies. Yes, I said ponies. I am not one to judge, but this I don’t get at all.
You dress up as a pony and are literally led around like a real one. Some even pull carriages with people in them. This is definitely a domination fetish.

Of course there are many many more fetishes out there. The above are just a few that caught my fancy today.

It's A Trick Daddy Kind Of Day

Today I decided to give you a song that was a bit more modern.

Trick Daddy started his career in the 90’s working with Uncle Luke aka Luke Skywalker aka Luther Campbell. He sang the lead on the track “Scarred” on the album “Uncle Luke”.
In 1998 Trick Daddy started the website Thug.com . Make sure to visit this site as it has music and videos available including one of my favorite new songs “Sugar (Gimme Some)” featuring Ludacris and Cee-Lo.

For a more detailed biography of Trick Daddy check out THIS page.

The song I picked for today is “Let’s Go” featuring Lil John and Twista off the album ”Thug Matrimony: Married To The Streets” .

Be aware that this is the uncensored version, so if swearing offends you don’t listen!

Let me know how you feel about this song!

Also keep in mind that you guys blow through the available bandwidth at an amazing speed. Does anyone have any ideas for a good FREE host that allows hotlinking AND has good bandwidth available?

Boredom - Wussies Need Not Apply

I need a new project.
I have already done everything in the yard that I could possibly do. I am tired of cleaning my house. All of the laundry is clean.
I know that I am supposed to be removing the drywall out of the living room, but that seems like such a huge undertaking. I guess it won’t get done unless I start it. Even if I do start I know that I will end up with another huge pile of drywall in the front yard that will sit there for the next 6 months. How depressing. But here I sit with no drywall in the kitchen already so I might as well get to it. I am so sick of half done projects. It seems like my whole house is half done.
We bought all of the wood flooring for the house several months ago. It’s still in boxes in the back bedroom. Of course I can’t put it down until all of the drywall is replaced.
How did I get sucked into redoing my house? Oh right, I volunteered didn’t I?

Addictions - Not Just For Breakfast Anymore

I am 100% addicted to Word Whomp.
Stupid game!

I have a very addictive personality. I get hooked on the silliest little things. It might be games like Word Whomp, a certain food, or even aspirin.
That is why I had to quit drinking. I was an all or nothing drinker. I’m the girl who drinks until she takes her clothes off, then drinks until she either passes out or throws up.
Any way you look at it, it’s not pretty. The only time I drink now is on the rare occasion that Ap0k and I are out at a restaurant and they have a chocolate based drink. Even then I will only have one.

I get addictive to various food items easily also. It’s usually something like macaroni & cheese, cereal, or brownies. I will eat whatever it is for weeks on end until one day I just don’t want it anymore.

My main addiction is of course cigarettes. I am trying like mad to quit, but I still end up caving in and having one or two a day.

Another thing I have problems with is Goodies aspirin. Why on earth I take so many I don’t know. They seem to be almost like an illegal drug to me.

I need to figure out how to become addicted to things like apples, or water, or heck, even sex! At least Ap0k would be happy with that one.

Traci Lords - Underneath It All

I finally finished reading Underneath It All by Traci Lords .

If you will remember I reviewed Jenna Jameson’s biography back in January. I liked the book itself, but the actress herself left me cold.
Traci’s biography is a completely different animal. While Jenna’s book tended to glorify the porn industry, Traci almost tells us the real story.
Traci’s story begins when she is a small child. Her parent’s separation resulted in her and her sisters being bounced around from parent to parent and from house to house. Watching her father beat her mother in the street caused her to fear her father for many years.
She tells how she was raped by an older “boyfriend” when she was just 10 years old.
Just reading this part of the story explains how she later became so fucked up.
Guided by her stepfather, Traci entered what she thought was a modeling career at age 15. Of course we all know now that the “modeling” turned into full blown porn.
The stories she tells of how she made it through some of the film shoots is chilling at best. She was completely addicted to drugs and alcohol.
You can’t put all of the blame on the filmmakers though because Traci did have ID showing she was 18.
When government investigators found out that she was underaged the FBI actually broke down the doors in her apartment to arrest her. She was 18.
Over the next several years Traci was hounded by publicity seeking prosecutors all over the country who wanted her to testify in child pornography cases. In the end her mother took over for her to testify in her place.

Wanting to become a legitimate actress, Traci worked very hard over the next several years trying to break into the mainstream. Several times she was chosen after auditions only to be dumped when the producers learned of her background.
Her first big break came from John Waters when he cast her in the movie ”Cry Baby”. She received good reviews and was the offered further roles.
She has appeared in several movies and television shows always to good reviews.
She even received the Best Actress Award at the US Comedy Arts Festival for her role in the 2004 film ”Chump Change”. She has come a long way!

Traci had another dream. She wanted to sing (what actress doesn’t?)
In 1995 she released the cd titled ”1000 Fires” which earned her the nickname “Queen of the Techno Underground”.
She also learned how to be a pretty good DJ herself.

I have to say that by the end of this book I really felt like Traci was a decent girl. She has given everything she has and fought countless battles to get where she is today.

Definitely give this book a shot. It is well worth the read.

Quick Update

This is a quick update to my "Lessons Learned" post.

I am not having a mental meltdown. Though I have never been accused of being the most stable person on earth!

All of these things didn't happen at the same time thank goodness! Actually they span approximatly 15 years.

It wasn't my new truck that I totalled. If it were you would hear me sobbing from where you are at now. This was actually 2 years ago in a company truck.

Posting Movies For Fun And No Profit

Sometimes posting movies for the various forums can be a tad overwhelming.

Here are the normal steps it takes to make a somewhat quality post on a movie forum:

1. Find a movie worth posting. This is not as easy as it seems. You can either download a scene (or whole movie) from one of the zillion newsgroups available, or you can download scenes from paysites (never pay for paysite access!). You can also cap scenes yourself from dvd or vhs. I used to cap my own scenes, but I let my video store membership lapse.

2. Now that you have the scene you want to post you usually have to re-encode it to a somewhat manageable size. I prefer to re-encode to DivX and MP3.
It makes the files much smaller without losing too much of the quality.

3. Time to find a free storage site. This is the most difficult part of posting. What worked for you yesterday may not work at all today, but then again may work for you tomorrow. You have to find your storage before moving on to the next step.

4. Now that you have found your storage site you can begin splitting your file into smaller pieces.
The size of your split pieces depends on the maximum file sizes that your storage site allows. I almost always use WinRar to split my files, but some people prefer to use HjSplit or other programs.
When splitting your files it is usually best to password protect them. This tends to reduce link theft.
Because storage is sketchy at best these days, it is smart to make Par files to go along with your split pieces. This way if any of the pieces get killed, the downloader will be able to recreate the missing file using the par file. I use QuickPar to do this.
(Thanks go to magpie for the quickpar tip!)

5. Now you need to upload your files. Good luck on that! Some days uploads go smoothly with no troubles. On other days you have to upload some files numerous times in order t get them to "stick" into the ftp. Never give up though. In the end you will get them all uploaded.

6. For a good post you need to make a preview picture of your scene. You do this by taking screenshots throughout the movie and putting them in your post. Some people post individual screenshots, while others make a montage of pictures. I know some posters who are very artistic and make some great preview pictures.

7. Now it's time to post your movie. Make sure to include all of the pertinent information in your text such as total size of the movie, the codecs used, the password, and anything else you can think of. You can never put in too much information.

Don't expect tons of replies to your post! There are a lot of lurker types who fly through and grab anything and everything that they can and never leave any replies. While this shows a terrible lack of manners, it is none the less quite common. On the other hand there are downloaders who thank the posters every time they download a post. These are definitely the types of downloaders I prefer!
If you are posting to get replies you probably should quit right now.

If you would like to start posting movies on any forum and need help, feel free to contact me.
I will give any assistance that I can.

Better Than Babbling

I thought and thought all day on what to write about for today's post.
In the end I came up with a big fat nothing.

So instead of me gabbing about nothing, I leave you with this……

5 Lessons Learned - The Hard Way

#1 Never talk on your cell phone while driving.
One day I was on my way home from work, happily chatting away on the cell phone (with Ap0k) when WHAMMO! I blew right through a red light.
I managed to miss one car, but was then t-boned by another right in the passenger door of my truck. In the end it involved a total of 4 vehicles. My truck was spun around; it jumped a median, and almost flipped over. Even though I was wearing my seatbelt, I still managed to hit every thing in the cab of the truck. Amazingly, no one was badly injured. I ended up with a bunch of bad bruises that were actually black instead of blue. I had a good sized knot on my forehead from the rearview mirror also. Remember, I was wearing my seatbelt!
Poor Ap0k about had a stroke I think. All he could do was sit there on the phone until I could find my cell phone. After I dug it out from under everything I told him where I was and he flew over. Somehow he managed to drive all the way across town in 7 minutes. If any of you know anything about our traffic, you will understand what a feat that was.
My poor truck was a totaled.
To this day I do not remember that light turning red!

#2 Never stick both your hand AND a rag inside a glass at the same time while washing dishes.
This one involved a trip to the hospital. I was home alone washing up the breakfast dishes when I stupidly crammed my hand and a dishrag into a glass. As I turned it I heard the glass break and felt it cut my hand open. I pulled my hand out and stuck it under the faucet, covering it up with a towel. It was hard for me to look down at it! When I sucked up the courage to take a look, all I could see was the towel with blood running out from under it. Gross! Still not looking at the cut, I wrapped the towel tightly around it and ran across the street to my neighbor’s house. She took one look at it and made me call Ap0k to come and take me to the hospital.
The funny part was, when the doctor came in he took one look at it and said, “Don’t tell me, a dish washing accident, right?” Come to find out that is a very common female accident that shows up in the emergency room quite often. Who knew?

#3 Never speed in front of a jail.
The only speeding ticket I have ever gotten was right in front of a county jail. The speed limit is only 35mph and I was doing about 50. A cop was actually hiding behind a tree and nabbed me as I was coming up on him. The silly man walked right into traffic to flag me down! Luckily for me he was a nice guy and said I was doing a slower speed so I didn’t get a massive ticket. The only thing that ticked me off over the whole ordeal was that the guy who was riding right on my butt didn’t get a ticket too. Not fair!

#4 Never watch scary movies.
I watched Psycho when I was little. To this day I still have shower problems. After I watched the movie, everyone in my house had to make sure to leave the shower curtains open or I wouldn’t go in the bathroom. When I take a shower now I get horribly claustrophobic and have to keep sticking my head out to breathe. Even though I trust him with my life, I can’t stand it when Ap0k stands outside the shower when I’m in it. Drives me crazy. Lame I know, but at least I admit it!

#5 Never offer to help young people pay their bills.
If your children or younger siblings lose their jobs, never offer to help them pay their bills because then they never seem to even try to get a new job. Offer to let them stay with you, offer to feed them, but never never offer money! You will be in the poor house before you know it. It’s funny how they have money to go to the mall, but as soon as the rent is due they are broke. If either of you read this, get a job!

Happy Birthday Ap0k!!

Today is Ap0k's birthday. He's the big 4 0 this year.
That is pretty scary because I am only 6 months younger than him.
Normally buying him presents is hard, but this year he made it super simple. He went to Amazon, filled out a wish list, then mailed it to me.
All I had to do was check out and wait for the delivery to come.
Seems kind of like cheating really, but at least he gets what he wants this way.
What did he pick out you ask?
3 books on turbo chargers!
I can honestly say that that isn't what I would have picked.

His present to himself was more stabilizer bars for his car. These run down the sides as opposed to the others which run across the car.

I think he's having an affair with his car!
Come on, he even washes it in the rain. Doesn't that tell you something?

And I Thought I Was Screwy!

Todays post has shown that if you are allowed to be anonymous, you can't be toubled to act your age.

Hey girlfriend, Do you want to have fun!!!!

Doing what? Wanna go to the bookstore with me?

and then we have....

i really want to try you out! I will feed you donuts and dr. pepper all night long. I would really like to have one of your BJ's. I bet your mouth is fantantic. Can you please let me know how to get up with you.

How about NO! I AM married you know! Do you really think Ap0k would allow that?

Crazy Woman Alert!

Sometimes when I am just standing somewhere, like in the kitchen, I have an intense urge to do a back flip or a cartwheel.
Is this odd?

Sometimes I want to go to the bookstore and buy up a whole crapload of books, even though I already have stacks that I haven't even read yet.
Why do I want to do this?

Every once in a while I can be sitting next to Ap0k and I feel the need to lean over and bite him, though I never do.
What causes me to want to do that?

Recently the thought of running through the yard naked has occurred to me several times.
Now that's just screwy!

That's it.....I'm loosing my mind!

10 Of Life's Little Pleasures

Here is a little list of things I have found that I can't live without:

1. My Select Wave Action Massager .
No, it's not THAT kind of massager you dirty minded perv!
But trust me, it's the best $40 you will ever spend!

2. Velveeta Macaroni and Cheese.

I could eat this morning, noon, and night. Ap0k is so sick of it that it's become funny.

3. My mp3 folder. 11 gigs of my favorite songs. I also have stacks and stacks of mp3 cds, but my favorites always stay on here. No matter what my mood, I have a song for it.

4. My Motorola i730 from Nextel.

I am totally in love with this phone. It has both cell and direct-connect service from Nextel. Nice large color screen. My current ringtone is "Freaks Come Out At Night" by Whodini.

5. OM, Freydo, magpie, Poke, JoeP, Trader, and JoeM.
They know who they are, and they know why.

6. BBC America
My favorite cable channel without a doubt is BBC America. The quality of the programs seem to be much better than most channels. The comedies are MUCH funnier, and the dramas are much more interesting. If you have this channel, give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.

7. Dr. Pepper

The only thing I ever drink....Seriously.

8. Notepad
Ap0k built this whole site using notepad. It's the only thing I use to edit it also.
No wizzywigs here!

9. EasyNews
Easynews is an http based newsgroup server. They gather newsgroups posts from all over hell and gone and post them in an easy to use format. For $10 a month you are allowed to download 10 gigs of any files available. If you don't use all of your 10 gigs the remaining gigs roll over into the next month.
This is where I get the majority of my movies, mp3s, programs, etc.

10. And last but not least, my computers!
If you took my computers away from me it would be the same as cutting off my arms.
I would be LOST without them!!!!!

Utah Tries To Ban Porn

Seems that the Utah House of Representatives has unanimously passed a bill that will make it mandatory for ISP's to filter adult material.
This will require the State's attorney to maintain a database of porn sites.
Keepers of the database will be required to keep it up to date as sites change their urls or new sites start up. This also requires that all content providers whether in Utah or elsewhere to self-rate themselves.
Of course the required ratings are NOT part of this bill, so it is up to the content provider to figure them out.
The bill requires internet service providers to filter content deemed harmful to minors at no additional cost to the consumer.
To read a better report on this you can go HERE .
Personally I can see all kinds of faults with this bill.
First, there is no way that all content providers are going to self-rate themselves correctly.
Second, I can see sites getting blocked that are not porn related.
Third, content providers will be able to change their urls to the point that they can get through.

Now I am NOT supporting this bill in any way, shape, or form!
I feel it is up to PARENTS to filter their childrens internet access. There are plenty of good programs that do just this.
I do not think that the government should have the right to tell me what I can and cannot see as an adult. This is censorship at it's finest!

Utah.....I won't be visitng there anytime soon!

You're My Obsession

I dug into the 80's vault for today's song.
"Obsession" by Animotion .
This is "our" song if you know what I mean.
This song was originally released in 1984 or 1985 depending on which site you believe.

There's really not alot to say about Animotion. Obsession is their most popular song.
It was named the #3 Quintessential 80's Song in the book Totally Awesome 80's .

From what their website says, it appears the Animotion is working on a new album as we speak!

Having major problems with Blogger tonight so this may show up or it may not.
I'll check it in the morning to make sure everything is working ok.

I'm..... Swimming.... Through.... Molasses!

For some reason the entire internet is moving slooooooooowly for me tonight.
I had planned on uploading a new song for you, but I can't even get that website to load.

So what's everyone been up to? It's hard to tell when I never hear from anyone!

Hopefully tomorrow will go better.

Oh.......no donuts for me today......drat!
