Porn Is Good
Why do so many people feel the need to fight the adult entertainment industry with such fervor?
Not only the movies, but strip clubs, video stores, and web sites.
So called feminists say that pornography is derogatory and detrimental towards women. Religious groups say that pornography is evil. I have even heard people say that pornography leads to higher instances of rape. Of course none of these people have been able to convince me of any of this.
While I do believe that adult theaters, strip clubs, and sex shops should not be near schools, churches, or residential areas, I also believe the same of bars and night clubs. I see no reason why they should not be allowed in more industry based areas.
Where I live adult businesses ARE allowed in certain areas, but they are under attack constantly. I say as long as there are no nude pictures on the outside of the buildings then people shouldn’t worry about it. Why are they so worried about what is going on inside if they are outside? Is anyone forcing you to go in? No.
Who are these people that seem to think they know what is best for everyone? When did they become the parents of us all? Even if you don’t go to these places, do you really want people telling you that you can’t? Whether or not you watch pornographic movies, don’t you want the chance to choose for yourself?
How can you feel threatened by something that is so natural? How can seeing a nude person upset you? How can the thought of people having sex offend you?
I just don’t get it.
