I Can't Do This Anymore

This is going to be tough to write because I don’t know for sure who’s reading it.
My family is in the midst of a major meltdown. Keep in mind that they are 1000 miles away. I keep getting hysterical phone calls from everyone with their sides of the story.
Each one of them seems to think that I can solve all of the problems. I am also starting to get the feeling that each one thinks I am not fixing everything because I don’t want to.
Here is my question:
“What on earth do you people think I can do from 1000 miles away?”
I am not a money machine. I can’t keep paying things for other people. I can’t solve my own problems, so how can I solve yours? It’s not like I can pop on over and have a chat. It takes me 14 hours to get there and then I have to sleep for another 6 at least after that. We have one vehicle at the moment because Ap0k’s car has been put up for the winter. If I were to take off to come down there, how would he get to work?
I’m sorry that I don’t have all of the answers. I never did and I never will. I try the best that I can, but when people are hitting you from every side it’s hard to know what to say to each one of you.
We did the best we could to straighten everything up before we left. We left a house and cash. We left utilities on. We bought a car. We paid for food and gas. Unfortunately we are not a bank. We have a limited amount of money and trying to keep up two houses is draining our bank account at an alarming rate.
As for the other problems, there is nothing at all I can do about them. I’m not there to see what is actually going on, and when four people are calling you giving you four completely different stories, it’s impossible to tell any of you what to do. No matter what I say to any one of you, it will piss off the other three. I am in a no-win situation in this.
I am stressed out completely and that’s not fair. It seems that the more we try to better ourselves, the more people try to bring us down.
My phone bill this month is going to be unbelievable. I know I have free long distance, but I only have 500 minutes. We blew through that days ago. It’s not my fault that no one else has long distance on their phones. How come I have to pay for everything?

In the end all I can say is that if persons A&B want money, then maybe persons A&B should get off their asses and get real jobs. Not jobs that they quit after 2 days because “it’s too hard” or “they were mean to me.” Real jobs with real paychecks.
If persons C&D want to be all involved, that’s great, but don’t drag me down with you. I’ve tried everything I know of, and nothing works. We are still forking over money left and right, we are still talking ourselves blue in the face, but that isn’t helping.
I think it’s time for everyone to step back and take a deep breath. It’s time person’s A&B stopped draining everyone dry.
“Grow Up”
“Clean up after your own mistakes”
“Act like adults”
“Stop the drama”
“Kick the ass to the curb”
“Piss or get off the pot”
“Pay your own bills”

Ap0k and I are trying to be happy. With the promotion and the move, this should be an exciting time in our lives, but in reality we are always too worried about everyone else to actually enjoy it. I am starting to live on aspirin again, which of course tears my stomach up. I want to be happy. I don’t want drama. I hate drama!

Oh great, I just got off the phone AGAIN and now people are threatening each other with the police. What the heck is wrong with you people????

I am 1000 (ONE THOUSAND) miles away. I can’t DO anything!!!!!!

Blankety-Blank-Blank

Just a big blank. Yes dear ones, my mind is an empty void today.
I can’t think of one tiny thing to talk about.
My mother sent me an email saying she needs to talk to me. This can’t be good.
Housework, rain, and a dryer that didn’t dry. Grocery stores, Christmas trees, and people I don’t know. A cat with a stomach ache, posting movies, watching HGTV.
Hopefully my brain will wake up later today.

XXX Reviews For The Coach

Coach Leahy recently asked me for a post geared towards porn movie recommendations.
Well Coach, this post is for you!

*I am a huge fan of Janine Lindenmulder. For the majority of her career she has only performed with other females. Yes there were the tapes of her with Brett Michaels and Vince Neal running around, but those were not professional shoots. I will admit that Janine does frighten me, but in a good way. She is either a great actress or really really likes sex. Most of her scenes with other girls end up almost violent. She definitely puts the other girl in her place! After Janine divorced Jesse James she decided it was time to do movies with men. And boy oh boy did she ever pick two of the best!
In the movie ”Janine’s Been Blackmaled” Janine shares top billing with Sean Michaels and Mr. Marcus, two of the best looking actors in the business. Janine takes on both guys at once in some really hot scenes. If you are a fan of interracial movies, make sure to check this one out!

*”Zazel” cost over $200,000 to make, which in the porn industry is a fortune. Starring seven Penthouse Pets, the movie features lush settings and a very arty film style. Scenes include lesbian, solo, male/female, male/female/female/female, and anal. This one is definitely a keeper.

*Not too long ago I reviewed the movie ”Pirates!”. The movie is a wonderfully done spoof of “Pirates of the Caribbean.” When I saw that the movie starred Janine Lindenmulder, Tegan Presley, Devon, and Jenaveve Jolie, I knew that I HAD to have it. Great scenery and costuming, and a terrific cast. This movie is in my Top 10 without a doubt.

*Tegan Presley looks like Britney Spears before the whole Kevin Federline debacle. In ”Tegan All American Girl” showcases the actresses talents to perfection. Cute and perky, Tegan can brighten anyone’s day. I haven’t spoken to guy who isn’t a Tegan fan.

*Lanny Barbie was one of Ap0k’s favorite actresses until she made the stupid decision to get boob implants. Personally, implants or not, I still think the girl is hot as hell. I am a HUGE fan of any of her movies, so I just chose ”I Love Lanny” at random. Lanny Barbie is one of those girls who is really too pretty to be in porn. This is a Suze Randall video and we all now that stands for quality. Plenty of girl/girl and girl/guy action. One for any collection.

*In ”Gang Bang Girl 35” Ariana Jollee, Ashley Long, and Audrey Hollander take on 21 guys. One of my favorite of the Gang Bang Girl series. Arianna Jollee is amazing, but Audrey takes the cake. I am a real fan of gang bang movies. While it’s a nice fantasy, I would never attempt it. Too scary for me!

Choosing movies for other people to watch is actually pretty difficult. Every person has their own individual taste. What I like may not be what you like at all. I guess it would help if I knew what kind of movies people were actually looking for.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Why do I insist on cooking for an army when there are only two of us? I am used to making enough food for a minimum of nine people on holidays. Because we moved there was only Ap0k and I to cook for today. Did I control myself in the kitchen? Of course not!

I started cooking yesterday. I made homemade mashed potatoes (no instant on Thanksgiving!), sweet potatoes, green bean casserole (it’s not Thanksgiving without that), deviled eggs, potato salad (just like my grandma used to make), and an orange dream cake. Today I made stuffing, gravy, rolls, and of course a turkey (stole my daughter’s citrus recipe.)
I thought I was being smart because I cut everything down by at least a half minimum. Even after Ap0k and I ate like pigs, I still have enough food left over for days. We didn’t make a dent in all the food I made.

If you have never had a citrus turkey you really should give it a try. It is super super simple too.
Just stuff a turkey with orange and apple slices (no need to peel or seed because you don’t eat them), put the turkey in a roasting pan (wing tips foiled of course), place canned pineapple slices on the top of the turkey making sure to tuck one between wings and breast and thighs and breast. Dump pineapple juice over turkey. Pour 3 cups of your favorite citrus juice blend over turkey. Roast at 325F for the recommended time for the weight of your turkey. 2/3 of the way through cooking time baste turkey with one more cup of juice. This makes the most amazingly juicy turkey ever and gives the meat a hint of sweetness that is delicious.

Green bean casserole, who doesn’t know how to make that? Just remember the ratio and you are good to go. I can of mushroom soup to two cans of French cut green beans.

Do you like relish in deviled eggs? I heard from a couple people today who said that relish in deviled eggs is gross. Now how on earth can that be gross? Relish gives the deviled egg goop flavor. Without relish it tastes kind of like wallpaper paste. Blah at best.

Ap0k is a big fan of potato salad, though I think it’s kind of icky. He swears his favorite is the kind I make (he may just be saying that?) All I do is follow the recipe my grandmother gave me. Potatoes, onions, tomatoes, relish, mayonnaise, and a tiny bit of mustard. Mix it all together and it’s done. Sounds dull, but he eats the heck out of it.

This was the first year that I had enough room to cook. I am so used to having no counter space that now I am in counter heaven. Tomorrow will be housewifey day. I am sure I have flung food everywhere so I will scrub down the kitchen. So fun! (Yes, that was sarcasm.)

I hope everyone’s Thanksgiving was as nice as mine!

First Real Snow Of The Year

We are having the first real snow of the season. I call it real because it is actually sticking.

Here is a good picture of the tree in my front yard. So pretty!

Favorite TV Characters

Last Saturday Zen Angel made a post listing her choices for best and worst TV characters. I thought that it was a great idea and figured I would give it a shot myself. While Zen Angel concentrated on TV couples, I decided to focus strictly on individual actors on my favorite shows. The people I choose my not be great actors, but I loved the particular character they were playing. I have also chosen to just list my favorites because listing the worst would take me days and pages (Racheal Green I am looking at you!)

Best TV Characters:

1. James “Sonny” Crockett from “Miami Vice”
Miami Vice ran from 1984-1989 and in my opinion is one of the best TV shows of all time. The show had a great cast featuring the likes of Phillip Michael Thomas (Det.Tubbs), Saundra Santigo (Det. Calabrese), and of course Edward James Olmos (Let.
Castillo). While Don Johnson has a tendency to lean towards the smarmy in the majority of his roles, he pulled off Det. Sonny Crockett to perfection. With a
combination of cockiness, sexiness, and humor, Sonny was a true 80’s girl’s dream.

2. Will Smith on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”
Did any of you think I would actually make a list of favorites without adding Will Smith? TFPoBA was and still is a favorite of mine. If I happen to pass the show when I am flipping channels I always back right up and watch whatever episode is on.
Smith’s character (Will Smith – what a stretch of the imagination) was so cute and so sweet. He always tried to do the right thing no matter what. I will admit that at the time, I never thought that he would end up being a mega-star. The show, while
basically a comedy, showcased a good strong family. Harmless and safe for the whole
family.

3. Radar on “M*A*S*H”
M*A*S*H is one of those shows that pretty much everyone has seen. If you haven’t
then you either don’t have a TV or you live under a rock. While all of the characters
on the show were strong, Radar, played by Gary Burghoff, was my favorite. Alan Alda’s Hawkeye was just too liberal for me (though that came later in the series), and Loretta Swit’s Hotlips Hollihan was just a bit too hard. Radar on the other hand was such a sweet guy. The teddy bear is what did me in. It showed the true nature of
innocent young men stuck in war situations. Always willing to do what was needed to
help out, yet strong enough not to be stepped on, Radar was the real “true man” on the show.

4. John Gage from “Emergency!”
No, this wasn’t an award winning show, nor were the actors Shakespeare quality, but darrnit, Randy Mantooth’s John Gage was a true little girls dream man. Good looking, smart, brave, and a paramedic, what more could a little girl in the 70’s want?

5. Jim Ignatowski from Taxi
Christopher Lloyd played the Reverend Jim perfectly. A total burn-out who lived in his van, Rev. Jim acted like a totally loon. I guess what ended up making him my favorite character on the show was the episode where Elaine (Marilu Henner) was feeling bad because she wanted to be whisked away to a castle by a Prince Charming. Rev. Jim, knowing he wasn’t the prince still cut the roof off of his van (the only thing he owned) into the shape of a castle top. All he wanted to do was make her feel better. How could you not love someone who did that for a friend?

6. Fred Sanford from “Sanford & Son”
Red Foxx as Fred Sanford. “Elizabeth, I’m comin’ to join you honey!”
Enough said.

7. Archie Bunker from “All In The Family”
Carroll O’Conner as Archie Bunker is another character that pretty much every adult knows. Loud mouth, opinionated, and innocently racist (bizarre I know), Archie was someone we all knew in real life. The episode that nearly killed me? The one right after Edith died and Archie found one of her slippers under the bed. That was one of the most realistically heartbreaking scenes I have ever seen.

8. Della Street on both “Perry Mason” series
The Perry Mason books, though almost all written before I was born, are among my
favorites. Played by Barbara Hale on the 50’s and 80’s series’, the actress made the
character from the books her own. I wanted to BE Della Street when I was younger.
Oh who am I kidding? I STILL want to be her. Always there for both Perry and Paul,
Della was the glue that held the office together. A perfect lady that always left you wondering what she, Perry, and Paul got up to when we weren’t looking.

9. Columbo on Columbo (DUH!)
Some of you know that I am huge fan of cop/detective shows. Columbo is one of the finest of them all. The seemingly bumbling, forgetful, ever cigar smoking Columbo, played by Peter Falk, always got his man in the end. “Oh, one more thing…”

10. Cmdr./Capt. Benjamin Lafayette Sisko on “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”
Deep space Nine was the best of all the Star Trek series’, and Avery Brooks as
Sisko was the best captain. Better than Kirk, and a damned hell of a lot better than
that waste of space Janeway.

I am sure I could come up with more, but 10 seems like a nice round number to end on.

*EDIT*

OK, so what's up woth blogger tonight? My post text is out of whack and no matter how I fiddle with it, it won't change, so please excuse the screwy paragraphs.

Give Me The Night

Born in 1943, George Benson started his career as a singer in nightclubs at the age of 8.
At age 11 he recorded four tracks on the RCA X label.
In 1965 Benson formed his own Jazz group and was “discovered” by talent scout John Hammond. He recorded two well received albums of Jazz-Soul and Bop for Columbia before leaving the label in 1967 and signing with Verve. From 1968-1976, Benson worked with producer Creed Taylor on both the A&M and CTI labels.
In 1976, Benson signed with Warner Brothers and began emphasizing on his vocal talents. While always highly regarded as a jazz guitarist, his vocals are what finally brought him into the mainstream.
George Benson has continued recording to this day, and is still considered one of the greatest Jazz guitarists of all time.

The song I chose to highlight today is “Give Me The Night”, which was released on the album of the same name in 1980. I think it is my favorite of his “vocal” songs.

I have also uploaded the album “The Best Of George Benson” if you would like to give it a listen.

Tracklist:

1. Give Me The Night
2. Love Ballad
3. This Masquerade
4. Love X Love
5. I Just Wanna Hang Around You
6. Turn Your Love Around
7. Inside Love (So Personal)
8. 20/20
9. Everything Must Change
10. Never Give Up On A Good Thing
11. Kisses In The Midnight
12. Lady Love Me (One More Time)
13. Lady Blue
14. On Broadway

Cold Hands, And A Big Thank You

It’s going to take me a bit of time to adjust to the drastic temperature difference between Florida and Ohio. It seems like I am always chilly. That’s not a good sign considering the temperatures will drop even lower and lower as winter moves in. Ap0k is sitting around wearing nothing but a pair of pants and is fine, but I am wearing sweatpants, a t-shirt, socks, and a sweatshirt and I am still not quite warm enough. Tomorrow we are going to go buy some warmer clothes. I need some long sleeved t-shirts and some sweaters. I REALLY need a pair of gloves. I had to go out and scrape ice off of my windshield the other morning so I could move the truck out of the driveway. I thought my fingers were going to freeze off! I know I know, quit bitching, right? You have to stop and remember though that I am used to going out to mow the lawn when it’s 100F+. I am trying to adjust to an 80 degree plus temperature change. I’m sure that given time I will be out shoveling snow with the best of them, but for now I am just plain cold.

All of the unpacking is finally done. We cleaned out the last few boxes today. We also got all of the surround sound wires and the cable wrapped around the room neatly. Since the baseboards in the room are white we shoved everything through a piece of PVC pipe. There is a big 3 door sliding glass door in the wall with full length white vertical blinds. The PVC is almost invisible along the wall and in front of the door. I am really happy with it.
We have saved a majority of the moving boxes to use again when we find a house to buy. Today we got them all packed away in the back bedroom closet. It’s nice not having boxes all over the place.

Now that the entire move seems to be complete I hope to get this blog back on track again. I know this has had to be horribly boring for most of you to read and for that I apologize. Starting Monday I will go back to adding music and writing about more porn related subjects. Many thanks to those who have stuck with me through the last month.

A Few Invention Requests

With the mass influx of sugar-free products containing Splenda that are flooding the market I just have to ask, why haven’t they came out with sugar-free Pop-Tarts yet? I am a huge fan of Splenda. I can’t tell the difference between it and regular sugar myself. Of course it’s made from real sugar, which I do not understand at all. What did they take out of the sugar to make it ok for you? I thought the sweet part of sugar was the bad part? Just a few weeks ago I found sugar-free Oreo’s and since those are AP0k’s favorite cookies you can bet I snatched them up. I never buy real sugar anymore. We put Splenda in tea, on cereal, I even bake with it. I am still looking for Pop-Tarts made with it though. I would even be willing to pay a bit more for them. Oh well, in a few tears we will probably find out that Splenda will kill us.

I want someone to come out with a line of wireless appliances. Not rechargeable and not battery powered, but true wireless. I want to have a shelf full of base units in my kitchen. We could have wireless vacuum cleaners, blenders, mixers, etc. I am sick to death of cords running all over the place and battery powered and/or rechargeable appliances don’t last very long. How hard could it be to make a wireless vacuum? I know I would be first in line to buy one! Of course with no battery packs at all they would have to figure out how to shoot electricity through the air to each appliance. Hmmmm, this may be a bit more difficult that I first thought. Come on, there has to be a smart enough person out there somewhere. Someone bring me a wireless vacuum!

Everyone has there own personal space around them. Most people don’t like other people invading that space. Now, what I want someone to invent is a “personal space warmer/cooler.” Just think, it could be 10 degrees outside, but with your own personal space warmer you wouldn’t need a jacket. Is it 105 degrees outside but you wanted to wear your new sweater? With the personal space warmer/cool you can wear that sweater, no sweat. With adjustable temperature controls you could choose whatever clothes you want. Are you a hot house plant, but your spouse likes it cold? Just crank up the temperature on your personal space warmer/cooler and no more fights at the thermostat. Now I want this product to be small, no lugging a big unit around. And I would want it to warm/cool an area about 2 feet around me. That’s not asking too much is it?

So, who’s the smarty pants that’s going to bring my inventions to life?

Weeks With No Internet Take Forever To Go By

It snowed today!

The cable guys finally showed up today and reattached my left arm, I mean connected my cable. Being without cable TV and internet for a week sucks. I always say I live under a rock, but boy without cable you really don’t have a clue what’s going on. I don’t have a job, I have no friends here yet, no network TV channels would come in. I had no clue what was happening outside of my own little world. Actually I will admit that it’s not all bad because for the most part news tends to be boring or depressing.

I have spent the last week trying to see if you really can shop til you drop. Just as soon as I think I have bought everything, I find more things I need. For example, I thought I had gotten everything for my kitchen and then when I cooked our first meal I realized I had no can opener. How did I forget a can opener??? It’s also hard to grocery shop for an empty kitchen. Just when you think you must have everything you suddenly find you have forgotten simple little things like garlic and green peppers.

We managed to get 95% of everything put away. All that’s left is some computer bits. I have decided not to unpack my books for now. Since we are only staying here a year I think I will probably just leave them safe in their boxes. There are still so many things I would like to buy, but I think we should pay off some of the stuff we already bought first.

We had some light snow flurries today. Even though it didn’t stick, it was still kind of exciting. It is supposed to get down to 19F tonight and 16F tomorrow night. I haven’t been in weather this cold in. I haven’t been in weather this in years. Today I broke down and bought a robe and a pair of fuzzy slippers. I guess I will have to bite the bullet and buy a coat. More money out the window. Ap0k is going to put the brakes on my spending if I’m not careful.

It’s taking me forever to write this. I am watching The Blues Brothers which is without a doubt one of the greatest movies of all time. I have probably seen this movie more times than any other. It seems that the minute it starts all I can do is stare at the TV. Pitiful.

No Cable Until Wednesday

My stuff got here today!!!!

The movers were supposed to be here tomorrow, but they got here this afternoon. Could things get any better? We are still in the hotel tonight though because we can’t get the heat to come on in the house. The landlord is sending someone to fix it tomorrow. I am sure we are just doing something wrong. Having lived in Florida we have no experience with heaters at all. Or gas! Gas scares me to death, but I guess I will either have to get used to it, or freeze to death.

Today I went out and bought this dining room set. Well I guess you would actually call it a dinette set:

The cable (TV and internet) were supposed to be turned on in the house this past Wednesday but because the TV and computer weren’t there yet they wouldn’t hook it up for me. I guess the fact that I have had Road Runner since it was in it’s testing phases means nothing. I guess that because I am female I am too stupid to plug the computer into a modem myself. Well at least that is how the technician acted. Now I have to wait until this coming Wednesday. That means I will be without cable for 5 days! ARGH!

I will start setting the house up tomorrow. I am so excited!

I will see you all next Wednesday.

Life In A Hotel Room - Someone Wake Me When It's Over

It’s hard to think of something to write about when you are stuck in a hotel room for weeks on end. I am so bored!!!!
Today I went over to the house and put in new shelf paper in all the kitchen cabinets.
Well goodness, could life get any more exciting than that?

There are so many things that are different here in Ohio. For example, I would think the average speed limit in Florida is 45mph. In Ohio I think it’s 30mph. There are so many places here that have a 25mph speed limit. In Florida that would be in a residential area, but here it’s any old place they picked. My truck idles faster than that so I am having a hard time not speeding everywhere I go. I suspect the lower speed limits have to do with the winter weather?

Another thing that is different is taxes. In Ohio there is no tax on fast food. Now how odd is that? In Florida you pay tax on the tax that they taxed you for the tax. This is going to take some looking in to.

Awhile back an irc friend told me that when he vacationed in Florida he found that everyone who lived there seemed rude. I argued with him about that because I never found people to be rude at all. I guess I was just used to it from living there so long because now that I am here I see what he meant. The people in Ohio are MUCH friendlier than the people in Florida. Cashiers, waiters, the guy standing next to you in line, everyone seems much nicer and more polite.

I am so looking forward to Friday when I get all of my stuff back! You never realize who much you love your stuff until it’s out of reach. Where is my PC? When will the rest of my clothes be here? I want my DVDs! I NEED my mp3’s!!!!

I am SO sick of eating out every meal every day. I am planning Saturday night’s dinner already. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn. Ap0k will eat until he pops. He says he misses my cooking. That’s pretty flattering actually.

Speaking of Ap0k, he’s driving me crazy. He’s so worried that I am upset or am going to get upset that he worries over me constantly. I appreciate it of course, but after being asked “what’s wrong” 20 times in a day, when nothing at all is wrong, you begin to see THAT as what’s wrong. I tried to explain to him tonight that there is nothing in the slightest wrong with me. I am perfectly happy, just bored witless. I am not a social person and all of my friends are on irc so they technically came here with me. I am not lonely at all. I am just BORED. I told him that once all of my stuff gets here I won’t be bored anymore. Like I said before, there is nothing to do when you are stuck in one room. I can’t even fuss with some of my forums because I don’t think it’s right to use the hotel’s connection for porn related things. I have read my silly. I would go work on the house, but without my stuff, there’s nothing to do over there either. Tomorrow I have to meet the cable man sometime between 8am and 12 pm. I hope he gets there early because sitting in an empty house for 4 hours does not sound all that thrilling.

I’m sorry, I don’t mean to sound cranky. I’m really not. I like it here. I love the areas, and everyone I have met so far has been great. Saturday morning will see a whole new me!
I’m sure you will be happy to see that, you have to be bored silly with my whole moving saga.

Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West - A Review

I just finished reading Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire.
Having missed all of the previous hype over the book, I went in to it thinking it would be a cute little story, but boy was I wrong. I will never be able to watch “The Wizard of Oz” the same way again!
Maguire has given complete life to Elphaba, The Wicked Witch of the West. In TWOO, the witch is seen as an evil monster, yet we now find that the opposite is true. I don’t want to go into too much detail because I don’t want to spoil the book for those who haven’t read it yet. I will just list some key words:
Resistance
Underground
Animals (not animals, but Animals)
These will all make sense to you after you read the story.
Maguire has also opened up the world of Oz to us. Munchkinland, Gillikin, Quadling Country, and The Emerald City among other places. The details he gives of each area of Oz helps us to understand the world of the characters much better.
Animal rights play a big part of the story of Elphaba’s life, as does her love for her secret boyfriend.
So you think the Wizard is a kindly old man huh? Think again!
Galinda (Glinda) is another story, there is more depth there than we realized.
Nessarose, Elphaba’s sister and the Wicked Witch of the East is a real treat. Beautiful and religious, her story plays out wonderfully.
It’s a shame that L. Frank Baum did not get to read this. I think he would have loved it.

The prologue opens with Elphaba stalking Dorothy, the Tin Man, The Scarecrow, and The Lion. Chapter one then begins with the birth of Elphaba, a strange experience to say the least. We follow her through her childhood and into school (The Shiz) where she begins her lifelong fight for Animal Rights. We learn the effect the death of her sister had on her. Is Liir really her son? Why does she want the ruby slippers so badly? What does Yackle know? The story completes at her death at the hands of Dorothy. How did it happen, and why?

By all means, if you have not read this book, do so in the future! You will not be disappointed!

I have just started “Son of a Witch” the second half of the Oz saga. I will let you know how it plays out. After that I intend to read Maguire’s other books “Mirror, Mirror” and “Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister.” Where on earth did this guy get his imagination?

Traveling With Cats

Well, Tippy, Tiggy, and I made it to Ohio in one piece. We dealt with screaming, clawing, and major barfage for a few hundred miles, but then they settled down. Until one of them decided to poop in the cage. Now that was not pleasant! I had to drive 10 miles before there was an exit to get off of so I could clean the cage out. STINKY!!! Once that was taken care of they were pretty calm the rest of the way here.
They did perk up every time we went through an area that smelled like it had something dead in it. The skunk smell made Tippy jump right up and he tried to shove his face through the cage door. They are all tucked in to the new house by themselves now because of course the hotel won’t allow them in the room. Tiggy handled the drive and the new house much better than Tippy. Poor Tippy had never even been out of the house before. His whole world was just a few rooms. Tiggy has been in and out her whole life so at least she new what the outside even was. They seem to be ok in the new house. I am sure they will be happier when it has some furniture in it though.

Speaking of furniture, we went spend happy today. I got a new washing machine and refrigerator, a new 42” Sony WEGA, and a cherry wood and black glass TV stand with matching audio stand.
The washer and fridge will be delivered Thursday and the TV and stands will be delivered Saturday. By Sunday I will have all of my stuff and I should have a good start at putting it all where it goes. I still need to buy a vacuum cleaner, a broom and dust pan, a microwave and stand, stuff like that.

So much to do, so much to see, so fun!

TCRF IS Down *Back Up*

Something odd has happened to TCRF and moviemart.
The forums have both reverted to September 22nd. You can't post on either forum at the moment.
I tried fixing it, but I am unable to put it into maintaince mode. I also cannot log into the ftp.
I have mailed The Big Guy, but it may be tomorrow before he gets the message.
If I hear anything I will let you know ASAP.

*UPDATE*

The Big Guy has the techs working on it as we speak.

*UPDATE*

Keep your fingers crossed. It appears to be back up again!

No Food????

I am starving, but there is no food in the house!
Someone bring me something to eat.
Oh well, guess I will eat a donut.

Packing - And A Present For Josh

Now that I am in serious packing mode I realize that I have a lot of crap.
I also find that there is more that I want to take with me than I imagined.
Up to and including a second cat. Tiggy was so happy to see me last night that I felt guilty leaving her. I’ve had her for years and she really is part of our family. I promised her she could move too. Last night she talked non-stop for at least 30 minutes. She told me all about what happened while I was gone. Being a good mommy, I listened intently to everything she had to say. Tippy got over his snit and is back to being my shadow again.
I have gotten our bedroom all packed up except for the bed and the shelves.
The kitchen is sorted and 2 boxes are packed with a couple more to go.
Ap0k’s tools are almost ready; I just have to drag the boxes out of the closets.
Tomorrow I will finish the kitchen, clean out the hall cabinet, clean out the shed, pack up the blankets, sheets and the rest of the clothes, and then I should be about done.
The movers are going to pack up all of the electronics and computer equipment.
I am torn on the dryer and the dresser. If it comes down to choosing I will go with the dryer because I just bought it. If there is room in the truck I will take both.
I am leaving an unbelievable amount of stuff. The daughter is going to have her hands full sorting through it all. LOL!!!!

Once we buy a house and move into it, I don’t want to ever move again! This is a pain in the butt.

I received a message from Josh the other day saying he wanted to get his hands on the Nervous Breakdown Mix that I posted the other day, but that the link was dead.
Well Josh…..this is for you!

Nervous Breakdown Mix

Hopefully you (and whoever else wants it) can get it this time!

Ap0k......I miss you terribly!
I love you sooooo much!!!!!

My Butt Hurts!

4 squashed coyotes
1 squished fox
8 million semi-trucks
915 miles
14 hours

And I am back in Tampa!

(And no I did not do the squashing or the squishing, they were like that when I went by.)

And most amazingly.....the cats did not destroy the house while I was gone!!! Either that or my little sister cleaned it up before I got here.

Tiggy was thrilled to see me, the babies all acted like idots running circles around me 90 miles an hour. Tippy on the other hand snubbed me for 30 minutes and then demanded I old him.

In two weeks I have driven 2000 miles, and in 5 days I have to drive 1000 more.
I thought I had a flat butt before.
